Djalel Chefrour

Senior Lecturer of Computer Science at the University of Souk-Ahras

Bio

Djalel Chefrour is a Senior Lecturer of Computer Science at the University of Souk-Ahras, where he teaches IP networks, distributed systems, embedded and real-time systems; and advises students on the developement of production grade applications, especially on Android. He is also an active blogger, translator and an open source advocate. His current research focuses on network measurement and Software Defined Networks.

For around a decade, he worked as a networking and embedded software engineer for global leaders in the telecommunication and consumer electronics industries (e.g., Thomson Telecom, Alcatel-Lucent and Philips).

Using C/C++, Python, bash, Linux, VxWorks and RTEMS, he developed kernel and system level software for various platforms, including MIPS based routers.
